Dr. William Velardi is pleased to announce that Dr. Bruce Mazie has accepted the responsibility of caring for the eyes of Dr. Velardi's patients. All of Dr. Velardi patient records have been transferred to Dr Mazies’ office!

We pride ourselves on giving the best eye exam possible. We treat each patient as members of our family. Individual attention in an unhurried atmosphere are the hallmarks of our practice. We also are also on the cutting edge of technology  to give our patients’ eyes the best exam possible!  We are among  the few select practices to feature the Exam 3000 Refracting System. This makes it possible to make a more accurate and  efficient prescription determination. In other words, a lot less of; "Which is better, 1 or 2"!

The practice also features the Optomap retinal exam. The Optomap makes use of a new technology – the Panoramic 200™ Retinal Imaging System.  This enables us to see nearly all of your retina.  It also eliminates the discomfort and inconvenience associated with pupil dilation. As a result, you will not experience blurred vision or sensitivity to light following your eye exam.  It is important to note however, that should any abnormalities be detected, or if we cannot obtain an acceptable image, dilation may become necessary.

The Optomap exam is simple: at the push of a button, we can generate a computer image of your retina for immediate review.  Experience with this technology has already led to improved disease detection and has possibly prevented vision loss and blindness in patients.

We also pride ourselves on keeping up with the cutting edge of contact lens technology. We specialize in lenses that you can wear longer, feel more comfortable, see clearer as well as lenses for astigmatism, bifocals and hard to fit patients. Our staff also takes great pride in teaching patients who have a hard time inserting lenses. They are a very patient group!
